| Testimonials "...treatment was great and Tui Na massage wonderful..." Sue |
Welcome to Muswell Hill Acupuncture with Liz Fiest, a North London acupuncture therapist, with
acupuncture clinics covering Muswell Hill, Winchmore Hill, East Finchley, Crouch End and Bounds Green.
Liz combines acupuncture with Tui Na Chinese remedial massage which enhances both clinical results and speed of recovery.
The type of acupuncture that Liz practices combines treatment of your physical symptoms (Traditional Chinese
Medicine) with treatment of your emotional well-being (Five Element acupuncture).
By encouraging the body’s healthy flow of ‘Qi’ or energy, acupuncture and massage can help
you:
· Move freely without pain · Sleep well · Reduce stress · Feel more energised
During her years in practice, Liz has treated a wide range of conditions including pain management, stress and injuries, acupuncture and back pain
relief, arthritis, acupuncture for frozen shoulder, migraine
headache, insomnia, menopausal symptoms, acupunture fertility and IVF acupuncture treatment. Research has shown that acupuncture
combined with IVF increases the success rate. See Fertility
Please note only very fine, painless, disposable needles are used during
treatment.

Liz Fiest BSc(Hons) Acupuncture, Lic.
Ac., Dip Tui Na
Having trained for three and a half
years, I graduated with a degree and Licentiate from the highly regarded College of Integrated Chinese Medicine
(validated by Kingston University and accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board).
As a fully insured Chinese Medicine practitioner, I abide by a strict code of ethics and professional
development.
Alongside acupuncture, I also use Tui Na (Chinese massage) and hold a post-graduate Diploma
from the University of Westminster. Combining Tui na massage with acupuncture enhances the speed of recovery in
treatments, in particular: injuries, back pain, frozen shoulder, whiplash, arthritis and migraines.
Treatments
will also include Chinese Dietary Therapy and Qi Gong (Chinese remedial health exercises) where appropriate to help
you regain good health.
Further Training
During my years in practice I have
treated a wide variety of conditions with a particular interest in musculo-skeletal conditions and fertility treatment.
Post-graduate training has included
courses in Spinal: Examination and Treatment and Limbs: arthritis, MS, sports injuries, back pain, whiplash, frozen shoulder.
As I also
have a keen interest in treating fertility and gynaecological conditions I continue to develop
my skills and training in this area. Treatment for fertility includes encouraging simple lifestyle changes to improve
the chances of conception, based on Chinese Medicine diagnosis.
For 3 years I worked as an acupuncturist at The Core Trust, a clinic for
the treatment of alcohol and substance misuse, where I treated a wide range of conditions including insomnia, migraines,
irritable bowel syndrome and anxiety.
Tui Na (Chinese Remedial Massage)
Tui Na (pronounced Twee Na) is a massage therapy and, like acupuncture, has been used in China for over
2500 years. Tui Na is extremely effective at treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain and is an effective intervention
for disc problems, frozen shoulder, sciatica, whiplash, back pain and joint pain. It is also useful in balancing the overall
energy of the body and can treat a similar range of conditions as acupuncture. Tui Na is a valid alternative for conditions
that might otherwise be treated with prescription drugs or by osteopaths, chiropractors and physiotherapists. It is usually
administered through light clothing.
